Question: Can I change colors of a template?
Answer:
Templates are designed with a color scheme that coordinates with the graphics
that are used. The colors of template elements such as background, navigation
buttons and graphics are typically not easily modified by the customer. If you
need a different color scheme, please contact the Developer of that product to
discuss making the changes that you need.
** NOTE: Some templates are designed to have color schemes that are easily
changed. The artists will usually note this in their template information. Please
look carefully at product details and information within the see-in-action to see
what you can or cannot do.
As a rule of thumb, patterns, shadows, gradients (blending of one color to
another), or curves/rounded edges are effects are usually created with graphics. You
will need to be very competent with a graphics editor to change the colors, and sometimes
the template may be built in such a way that it would be very difficult to
change the colors without having the source files.
If the template documentation has "CSS-defined colors", it may be very easy
to change the colors of the template. You should contact the developer of the
template for more specifics.
