Accessibility needs your attention

If you haven’t read Satya Nadella’s book, “Hit Refresh: The Quest to Rediscover Microsoft’s Soul and Imagine a Better Future for Everyone“, we highly recommend it. Mr. Nadella lays out a vision for how we as a society may have to deal with technology, but he also details how Microsoft has rediscovered itself with empathy at its core. Microsoft has been developing cutting edge technologies and advancements, not just for the coolness factor, but to make tools and software that can affect everyone’s life.
Everyone.
Microsoft has been investing in machine learning to provide auto captions in videos and translation services in Office tools such as PowerPoint. Accessibility is being built directly in to the content authoring experiences in modern SharePoint experiences through features such as auto tagging, prompting for accessibility tags for images, videos, links and more. In fact SharePoint modern experiences are already enabling accessibility features for screen readers, narrators, and magnification features for both desktop and mobile devices.
Let’s move past the basic laws that require accessible portals, websites, and other business tools, which are themselves becoming more strict, and consider that there are less excuses why we don’t embrace accessibility from the outset and stay two steps in front of compliance and make solutions that are usable for all.

Anyone who has 'attended' a physical meeting by 'conferencing in' in knows the frustrations & limitations that come from not being in the room. You're the voice in the ceiling & not equally represented in the conversation.
