Forms For All and All For Forms | Microsoft Forms Primer

Microsoft does it again! Microsoft Forms empowers all users, no matter their code savvy, with tools they need to gather and review important insights. Here at PixelMill, we’ve been Microsoft Forms fans from day 1 of the preview. We leverage the tool in nearly all departments and have found great successes. Now, we want to share what we love about this effective tool, and give you some tips on how you can leverage it today!

What is MS Forms?

Microsoft Forms allows you to create quizzes, polls, and surveys in a matter of seconds. No code experience? No problem. This easy to use, easy to customize, and easy to share tool makes gathering important information a breeze.

Who can Use MS Forms?

Anyone can take a poll, quiz, or survey created in Forms—no license required.

All Microsoft accounts, including school credentials and work credentials, have access to creating and managing Forms.

Advanced Surveys created in Microsoft Forms Pro, an enterprise survey and analytics solution, allow businesses to easily capture and analyze feedback to improve customer, employee, and product experiences is available in preview. The public preview is available to anyone with a Microsoft work account, including Microsoft Office 365 commercial customers and Microsoft Dynamics 365 customers. It is not currently available to those with school credentials. Try the preview today.

Why Use MS Forms?

Forms allows nearly any user in your organization to quickly create and send a survey, quiz, or poll, and generate a results report instantly.

  • Does HR need a poll on a health coverage concern?
  • Does Corporate Communications want to learn more about how they can communicate best with your team?
  • Is marketing looking for insight into a new campaign concept? Forms to the rescue!

How is PixelMill Using MS Forms?

Here at PixelMill, we use forms for many purposes, from client feedback, user information gathering, to internal sales documentation.

Our sales department uses Forms to gather important scoping information to ensure we ask the right questions and capture all necessary information. We also use several branded forms to gather information from our clients as well, including check-ins, case studies, and gathering feedback on completed projects. We then use MS Flow to set up workflows to handle the results of our form. After a client survey is submitted, it prompts a Flow that generates a OneNote with the results, posts a message in the Sales channel in Microsoft Teams to alert the sales team that a new satisfaction survey has been submitted.

5 Reasons We Love MS Forms:

  1. They are incredibly easy to set up.
  2. You can duplicate a form, making creating variations and versions a breeze.
  3. You can generate a quick easy to absorb summary in real time that you can share with your team.
  4. You can export form results and view them in Excel.
  5. You can easily brand your form for public or internal consumption.

Leverage Forms today! Follow this quick tutorial, create your first form, and start gathering results right away.
