Mover Makes Migration to the Cloud Easy & Free

Spring is rapidly approaching and with it comes great change. Trees are blossoming, flowers are blooming, and birds begin their migration. Organizations seem to be following suit. The mass migration to the cloud is undeniable. More organizations are embracing this opportunity and empowering their teams with the ease and accessibility that the cloud provides.

It’s not lost on me that during times like we see ourselves today with pandemic scares and flu season, how incredibly fortunate I am to be able to work remotely. The way we work is changing and the digital workspace is becoming more valuable every day. Migration from on-premises solutions or other file storage solutions can seem daunting, but Microsoft is clearly investing in easing this process for organizations.

Back in October of 2019, Microsoft announced its acquisition of Mover to help organizations migrate to the cloud. This easy to use tool helps lower the barrier to entry to the cloud for organizations seeking a user-friendly solution. Mover provides migration for multiple tools including Box, Dropbox, Egnyte, and Google Drive into OneDrive and SharePoint, making the move to Microsoft 365 easier than ever and empowering file sharing across all of Microsoft 365 including Office Apps and Microsoft Teams.

This month, Microsoft announced that its free Mover cloud-to-cloud migration tool is “now available to Microsoft 365 customers worldwide.” Mover brings many new cloud migration scenarios alongside their existing SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMTfor migrating content from on-premises SharePoint sites and file shares to Microsoft 365. The best part? This tool is free! Do note, Mover doesn’t yet have support for Office 365 government cloud migrations.

We’re excited to see the ongoing improvements Mover brings to the migration process, and how we can help our clients take advantage of this tool to get their content where they need it.

What? Anchor links now work in #SharePoint site navigation! This fix snuck in and I completely missed it. Use them to create a TOC for long pages or cross link between pages. They work in text or quick links web parts & nav too! https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-and-use-modern-pages-on-a-sharepoint-site-b3d46deb-27a6-4b1e-87b8-df851e503dec#bkmk_pageanchors
