Office 365 Migration Tool

One of our customers recently turned me on to a new tool that may help you migrate to Office 365. The tool is called MetaVis Migrator by MetaVis Technologies. You can learn more about their product here.
Migrate to Office 365
Some highlights
You can migrate to Office 365 from such platforms as:

  • SharePoint 2010
  • SharePoint 2007
  • SharePoint 2003
  • BPOS

This will maintain your meta data including when an item was created and last modified.
You do not need to install anything on your SharePoint server.
They offer a free trial although if you would like to purchase the product you will need to contact MetaVis Technologies as they do not publishing their rates.
Summary
This looks like a great tool if you are considering moving your SharePoint based site to the cloud. If you are going to move your SharePoint site to Office 365, don’t do it by hand, find a good tool to help you. I think MetaVis Migrator will be that tool for many users.
What has your experience been with MetaVis Migrator or any other Office 365 tools you have used? Tell me, I would like to know.

What? Anchor links now work in #SharePoint site navigation! This fix snuck in and I completely missed it. Use them to create a TOC for long pages or cross link between pages. They work in text or quick links web parts & nav too! https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-and-use-modern-pages-on-a-sharepoint-site-b3d46deb-27a6-4b1e-87b8-df851e503dec#bkmk_pageanchors
