PixelMill Completes Intranet Branding Overhaul for Merck Using SharePoint 2007

DAVIS, CALIFORNIA – September 14 2009 – Leading SharePoint design firm PixelMill completed a multi-month project for pharmaceutical giant Merck. The project encompassed strict UI branding guidelines and multi-language support for the North American, South American, and Japanese markets.
PixelMill’s first project covering Merck’s North American intranet was so successful that internal referrals were given to Merck’s South American and Japanese offices. PixelMill followed numerous specific style guidelines to create graphics and site layouts for the corporate intranet installation using SharePoint 2007.
“The Merck SharePoint project really showed the user interface flexibility built into Microsoft Sharepoint,” said Eric Overfield, PixelMill’s CTO and project manager for the Merck project.
“We were able to customize the standard SharePoint interface to match the look and feel of the external corporate website. Most employees who use Merck’s intranet won’t even know they are using SharePoint because the site looks like a custom built application.”

What? Anchor links now work in #SharePoint site navigation! This fix snuck in and I completely missed it. Use them to create a TOC for long pages or cross link between pages. They work in text or quick links web parts & nav too! https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-and-use-modern-pages-on-a-sharepoint-site-b3d46deb-27a6-4b1e-87b8-df851e503dec#bkmk_pageanchors
