PixelTalk Ep 6: What is a Digital Workspace and how can you improve yours?

Welcome to PixelTalk, where the PixelMill team discusses hot topics around communication, collaboration, and all things SharePoint, Office 365, and Azure!

In Episode 6, we sat down once again with our President/Co-Founder, Eric Overfield, to discuss what a Digital Workspace really is and how it can be used to it’s fullest potential. Let’s face it, the term ‘digital workspace’ isn’t novel and makes some of us cringe, but it’s actually a pretty legit way to define a huge shift we—as a collective in the space we call work—are all greatly immersed. We’re continuing to see an undeniable cultural shift in the work place. Traditional brick and mortar offices are going extinct and with it brings the great challenge of maintaining, growing, and enhancing company culture in a remote workspace. Beginning around 2009, industry thought leaders were looking for new words beyond the term “intranet” to refer to broader needs than just a company’s internal website for employees. To fully understand what a digital workspace is and isn’t, Eric will discuss the different terms floating around and how they all play in the same space.

What? Anchor links now work in #SharePoint site navigation! This fix snuck in and I completely missed it. Use them to create a TOC for long pages or cross link between pages. They work in text or quick links web parts & nav too! https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-and-use-modern-pages-on-a-sharepoint-site-b3d46deb-27a6-4b1e-87b8-df851e503dec#bkmk_pageanchors
