“It does not do to leave a live dragon out of your calculations, if you live near one.”

– J.R.R. Tolkien –

In another life outside of PixelMill (and when I was allowed to go outside for more than essentials), your friendly neighborhood webinar host choreographed fight sequences for local theater companies. In real-time, these scenes can seem brief; a simple a well-timed punch or slap to emphasize a plot point or, in the case of a show like Peter Pan, a 15-minute fight scene on a famous pirate ship can seem to fly by (see what I did there?). Regardless of the atmosphere, these scenes require some serious planning, or things can quickly turn to chaos. It’s not just essential that the fight looks “real,” but proper planning ensures everyone’s safe while swinging those swords. For a 30-second fight sequence, I would spend 4-5 hours storyboarding, spacing out, and running the sequences with my shadow to make sure it all works. You also have to take into account various dexterity levels and agility as it pertains to the actors in the scene. The outcome is (hopefully), a beautifully told story that looks like disaster struck without any real bloodshed.

TL:DR – This was a fancy lead-in to say, planning is important, and we have a webinar about it.

It’s time for the next episode of the PixelMill Webinar Series! In this session, “7 Keys to Planning Effective SharePoint & MS Teams Provisioning Solutions For Repeatable Success”, join PixelMill President/Co-founder Eric Overfield (@EricOverfield),  Microsoft Regional Director & MVP and master of speed folding his laundry, as he guides us through how provisioning SharePoint and Microsoft Teams will make your team more successful than Netflix documentaries about tiger owners. Proper planning prevents poor performance. Thoughtful provisioning solutions can make or break your Microsoft Teams and SharePoint initiatives, not to mention save you time and heartache. Stop reinventing the wheel. Determine your team and site provisioning processes, workflows, and requirements and replicate the success.

Why You Should Attend

Besides the fact that webinars are an excellent way to engage with fellow community members and industry thought leaders, this is a chance to learn about some amazing things you can do when combining Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.

In this session, Eric walks you through 7 keys to planning effective SharePoint and Teams provisioning solutions. You’ll walk away with an understanding of how to strategize and design an effective solution your team can re-purpose over and over again.

Audience

While this session is directed toward anyone looking to learn more about how to leverage SharePoint with Microsoft Teams, all are encouraged to attend. And don’t worry–while this session is an hour-long, it includes a 15-minute Q&A from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM PST.

So join us on Thursday, May 7th at 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM PST. If you have questions now that you want to make sure Eric gets to, send them here.

What? Anchor links now work in #SharePoint site navigation! This fix snuck in and I completely missed it. Use them to create a TOC for long pages or cross link between pages. They work in text or quick links web parts & nav too! https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-and-use-modern-pages-on-a-sharepoint-site-b3d46deb-27a6-4b1e-87b8-df851e503dec#bkmk_pageanchors
