The hardest part of doing something is often just getting started. Even with—for better or for worse—an exponentially greater amount of time nowadays, convincing ourselves to stop rewatching The Office for the 29th time and doing the laundry can feel just as daunting as climbing Mt. Everest. Raise your hand if you’ve been watching more funny cat videos than usual these days…

You’re not alone.

Sometimes, you just need a little help getting started. Sometimes, you need a friend to give you a kick in the behind to get going. And sometimes, you just need the right opportunity to get you movin’ and groovin’…

It’s time for the next episode of the PixelMill Webinar Series! In this session, “How to Get Started with the SharePoint Starter Kit,” we welcome back Microsoft Regional Director and MVP, PixelMill President/Co-Founder, and yacht-rock enthusiast, Eric Overfield (@EricOverfield).  Join us on Thursday, October 1st, at 11:00 AM PST as Eric walks you through the latest Starter Kit release and helps discover how you can leverage the power of the open-source initiative right away. The project has come a long way since its inception, and Eric helped lead the latest release. Eric is passionate about sharing what he’s learned because the SharePoint community truly helped him get to where he is today. So, if you’re looking to create your own custom SharePoint solutions, but you’re not sure where to start, this session is for you!

Why You Should Attend

Besides the fact that webinars are an excellent way to engage with fellow community members and industry thought leaders, this is a chance to learn about the SharePoint Starter Kit V2.

In 2018, the SharePoint PnP community released the SharePoint Starter Kit open-source project. Designed to showcase an end-to-end SharePoint solution, the kit demonstrates how you can extend out-of-the-box communication sites and group-associated team sites with additional capabilities. The Starter Kit is a great way to get started building and customizing your own SharePoint based solutions. Why reinvent the wheel when some of the brightest minds have documented the best patterns to drive successful custom solutions?

In this session:

  • Learn what the SharePoint Starter Kit is and how to get started
  • Learn the common process and how to begin customizing your own solutions
  • Watch a live demo of a custom feature built with the starter kit
  • Get real-life examples of how to provision using the starter kit
  • Learn how you can get involved in the PnP community

While this session is directed toward anyone looking to learn more about the SharePoint Starter Kit, all are encouraged to attend. And don’t worry–while this session is an hour-long, it includes a 15-minute Q&A from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM PST.

So join us on Thursday, October 1st from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM PST. If you have questions now that you want to make sure Eric gets to, send them here.

Anyone who has 'attended' a physical meeting by 'conferencing in' in knows the frustrations & limitations that come from not being in the room. You're the voice in the ceiling & not equally represented in the conversation.

This is no longer acceptable.

Today, we find ourselves facing the “hybrid work paradox.”

Employees are keen to retain flexibility. At the same time, human-to-human collaboration remains important.

To marry the best of both, hone your strategy, spaces, & tech to suit employee needs.

It's the day of the show, y'all!

Join the #PixelMillWebinars this morning at 11am PST for a live panel discussion about what the #digitalworkspace looks like for a #hybrid team, & how #Microsoft365 can empower your users no matter where they're working.

Join the #PixelMillWebinars this Thursday as we welcome key players from @OrchestrySoft, @KieferConsult, and @AP_Mortgage to discuss the hybrid work paradox and how #Microsoft365 can empower your users no matter where they're working.

We've all been itching to get "back to normal," but what does that mean? Are we missing out on valuable lessons learned by trying to return to something that perhaps wasn't working before?

Join us next week for a live panel discussion on the new normal.
