Much like fire, the wheel, and the American cheeseburger, the peanut butter/chocolate combo is one of those incredible inventions whose origin has been lost to the mists of time. The closest I was able to get in my research is Harry Burnett Reese, who invented what we now know as the Reese’s peanut butter cup in 1928.
