This session:

It’s time for the next episode of the PixelMill Webinar Series! In this session, “How to Get Started with the SharePoint Starter Kit,” we welcome back Microsoft Regional Director and MVP, PixelMill President/Co-Founder, and yacht-rock enthusiast, Eric Overfield (@EricOverfield).  Join us as Eric walks you through the latest Starter Kit release and helps discover how you can leverage the power of the open-source initiative right away. The project has come a long way since its inception, and Eric helped lead the latest release. Eric is passionate about sharing what he’s learned because the SharePoint community truly helped him get to where he is today. So, if you’re looking to create your own custom SharePoint solutions, but you’re not sure where to start, this session is for you!

Besides the fact that webinars are an excellent way to engage with fellow community members and industry thought leaders, this is a chance to learn about the SharePoint Starter Kit V2.

In 2018, the SharePoint PnP community released the SharePoint Starter Kit open-source project. Designed to showcase an end-to-end SharePoint solution, the kit demonstrates how you can extend out-of-the-box communication sites and group-associated team sites with additional capabilities. The Starter Kit is a great way to get started building and customizing your own SharePoint based solutions. Why reinvent the wheel when some of the brightest minds have documented the best patterns to drive successful custom solutions?

In this session:

  • Learn what the SharePoint Starter Kit is and how to get started
  • Learn the common process and how to begin customizing your own solutions
  • Watch a live demo of a custom feature built with the starter kit
  • Get real-life examples of how to provision using the starter kit
  • Learn how you can get involved in the PnP community

Join us on Thursday, 10/29 for the next episode of the PixelMill Webinar Series!
