The sudden emergence of Summer has got us really feeling the heat in more ways than one at the PixelMill HQ. Sure, the kids are out of school. Your favorite TV show is on hiatus. Or, maybe you’re just patiently waiting for girl scout cookies to come around again. But we here at the Mill like to take the #nodaysoff approach. A goal of ours is to always stay ahead of what’s new in the SharePoint development world and share that coveted information with you all. as best as possible. And the beginning of summer seems like the right time to catch up and chat about the hot topics that are burning bright and getting everyone fired up!

Anyone else sweating? Just us? Well you know what that means…

It’s time for the next episode of the PixelMill Webinar Series! In this session, “Tips from the SharePoint Framework Development Trenches”, we welcome a relatively new face to our webinar scene – David Warner II (@DavidWarnerII), Managing Consultant for Catapult Systems, Microsoft Office Development MVP, and Fantasy Golf champion for 3 years running, to guide us through a review of current development tips and tools available to us now and how the heck to figure out when to use what. You want a review of SharePoint development with regards to the SharePoint Framework? We got it. Rehash previous methodologies and take a look at the new tools, when to use them and how they help us build future-friendly solutions and interfaces on SharePoint that users will adopt? Yeah, we’ll go a few rounds. How about investigating the SharePoint Framework, but more importantly working with SharePoint using modern web development techniques? You bet your buffalo nickels we’ll be covering that.

Protip:  you may want to call your old friend Mr. Toad – this is going to be a wild ride.

What? Anchor links now work in #SharePoint site navigation! This fix snuck in and I completely missed it. Use them to create a TOC for long pages or cross link between pages. They work in text or quick links web parts & nav too! https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/create-and-use-modern-pages-on-a-sharepoint-site-b3d46deb-27a6-4b1e-87b8-df851e503dec#bkmk_pageanchors
